The SmartZip team just got back from San Francisco, and it was a wonderful experience to be a part of the 2013 National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Conference!
This marked our 5th year as an exhibitor at NAR! As soon as the day began and doors opened, a brigade of agents and brokers trumped the expo floor. We were so thrilled to meet with SmartZip clients (and potential clients)! Clients shared their success with us and we demonstrated the ways our latest apps & features have maximized our clients' marketing and business needs. If you didn't get a chance to check out any of the sessions at NAR, below are some of the highlights from our favorite discussions.
The Emerging Business Issues & Technology Forum was fascinating! Especially the discussion on Big Data and You: Predictive Marketing, Predictive Analytics and Data Visualization.
A couple of key takeaways from the guest speakers were:
"Predictive marketing is about knowing your clients on an individual basis" – Ted Loring, member of the new data strategy committee for NAR, talked about the need to learn more about your clients so you can market strategically by offering them the information and services they need, at the right place and time.
Todd Carpenter, director of digital engagement for the National Association of REALTORS®, mentioned that "social media is all about engagement." It is important to know how to use social media to get to know your audience for targeted marketing.
NAR offered one of the most powerful opportunities of the year to gather new ideas and strategies to revolutionize business and inspire clients to reach new levels of success. Our SmartZippers enjoyed NAR tremendously this year, and we can certainly say this expo was one of the most insightful conferences clients could attend to improve their professional needs. We can't wait to see everyone next year at NAR 2014!
